Mehtap Obuz graduated from the Department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Architecture at METU in 1988 and then lived in London for 2 years. Worked as a designer for exhibition projects at ARTA Architecture between 1991-1994. Established Demirden Design with Demir Obuz in 1994 and directed exhibition design projects of many international brands and was granted ‘red dot’ and ‘exhibit design’ awards. During the year 1999 she was the chairman of the Industrial Designers Society of Turkey and continues her membership.
In 2008 she established the ilio brand together with her partners from Demirden Design and her work has been published in various books and magazines. Number of design awards Demirden and ilio have received has increased to 17 in 2009. She is currently the design director of Demirden Design and ilio where she continues her product design and design management works for international brands.
After he established Demirden with Mehtap Obuz and Sema Obuz, Demir Obuz graduated from the Department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Architecture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul in 1996. With Demirden, he has worked on various design projects such as product, exhibition, retail design and branding. He was the Board Member of the Industrial Designers Society of Turkey between 2004 and 2006 and continues his membership.
In 2008 he established the ilio brand together with his partners. His design ‘twig’ beech wood stool, designed for ilio, has been granted the iF Gold award, which was a first for Turkey. Many designs of Demir Obuz has been recognized with Design Plus, Design Defined, Red Dot: product design and EDIDA tableware & accessories category (Turkey) awards. Currently he is the design director of Demirden and ilio. He also is a speaker for design seminars and events.
Graduated from the Department of Graphic Design, Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 1988. Sema Obuz has worked at RPM Advertising Agency between 1998 -1989. Worked with creative director Gülizar Çepoglu during 1989-1991 in Beymen Status Magazine and after having an internship on publishing design in England, continued as a senior graphic designer in Günes Newspaper. She was the art director in Star TV Advertising & Publicity Department and program generics between 1991-1993. Won the Graphic Design Association Award with her catalogue design.
After working as an assistant art director on many awarded editorial designs and corporate ID projects in Gülizar Çepoglu Graphic Design Company between 1993-1994, she worked as an art director in Hürriyet Newspaper supplement and Marie Claire Turkey Magazine for 2 years.
With her being the creative director of the design team since 2008, ilio’s corporate identity won the iF gold communication design award and her design ‘cube’ for ilio has been chosen the best in EDIDA’ s tableware and accessories category in Turkey.
Ceren Kılıç graduated from Architecture Department at Yıldız Technical University before spent a year as an exchange student at Universidade Tecnica de Lisboa in 2010 and attanded to many interdiciplinary workshops as participant and project coordinator. She has experienced as an architect in different design offices working on various scales and continued working as a freelancer designer for last 2 years.
She has joined at Demirden | ilio team as a project manager on March 2020, and became design director in 2023.
Gratuated from Interior Architecture Department at Marmara University in 2018.
She had double major from Industrial Product Design Department at Marmara University and experienced many design works in different platforms and sectors.
Seher joined demirden | İlio team in 2022.
In 1994, she graduated from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics of Eastern Mediterranean University. Until 2002, she worked as a manager in foreign trade transactions and corporate marketing departments in the banking sector.
Since 2002, he has been working in Demirden team in the management of finance, foreign trade operations and logistics processes.
Ahu Taştan Ubay has been with Demirden at Finance Department since 2005.
Sibel Bucak has been with Demirden at Finance Department since 2011.
İsa Özcan has been with Demirden in logistics and sourcing since 2010.
